Two variations of the colours and brightness that my animation will have. Every time I re-draw this the colours get darker so I just need to settle on a final colour palette.
As I’m setting this in the 80s I wanted to add posters of some of my favourite albums from that era so that’s an interesting little detail.
I’ve decided my animation is going to have an 80/90s feel to it with chunky computers and that sweet fashion
we were introduced to ZBrush on Tuesday so I went home and downloaded Sculptris (the free version woooo) and made this one evening. It’s obviously not finished but I’ve been enjoying learning how to sculpt so far.
Had to make it somewhat interesting so I went with some elf ears (although they looked like very Shrek-like ears for a while)
I want to add some extra aesthetic stuff in my final animation so I just messed with adding a texture in Photoshop, so I may experiment further with this to help create more atmosphere in my overall piece
original flat colour-
Back at it again with the animation
I did a quick walk cycle for the first shot on my animation which take place outside of the cafe (which I’m planning on redrawing on A4 paper, then scanning because ya need those high res pngs)
experimenting with hair and outfit styles, I needed something simple for 2D animating so it won’t take foooooorever
I originally intended to have simple backgrounds but I think these concept sketches are really cute
(I need to figure out this disgusting gif quality issue)
So- here is the inbetweened animation (some other touch-ups may occur depending on time). I would have had a better lit version but as Maya likes to crash that hasn’t happened yet, so I’m now off to sort that out
Finally finished the blocking so I can now take this off stepped and see what a mess of an animation I have to inbetween
finally fixed my photoshop gif issues *phew*
