Uri Lotan research

Today I looked into the work of Uri Lotan, an animator who has worked with the likes of Disney and Pixar, as well as working on animated  films such as “Hotel Transylvania II” and “The Nut Job”.

One particular animated piece that I looked at was an animated music video for the song “Ma’agalim” by Jane Bordeaux. Uri Lotan produced and directed the music video as well as being involved in the lighting, modelling and rigging of the animation.

The whole piece has a very soft feel about it due to the simple shapes and pastel colour pallet, but is suddenly juxtaposed by the whole little scene “unravelling” towards the end to give the sense of the little doll being alone whilst being surrounded by a busy changing world.
